Focus and Scope

The SJHS is an international, open access, double blind peer-reviewed journal published in English by the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences (FHS) of Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) Malabe. The purpose of the Journal is to promote research in the field of humanities and sciences and to publish the results of such researches. SJHS will also accept critical reviews on suitable subjects including concept papers, academic opinions, book reviews etc., for publication.


The views expressed by the authors in their articles are their own and such views do not necessarily reflect the views of SJHS.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published annually.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. There is no embargo on the journal’s publications.

Archiving Policy

This journal is available for LOCKSS harvesting, to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. See LOCKSS harvesting start page.
